The Golden Dream cocktail is a wonderful after-dinner dessert drink featuring equal amounts of Galliano, Cointreau, orange juice, and cream. The Golden Dream cocktail was most popular during the 60s and 70s and was dedicated to American actress Joan Crawford. Raimundo Alvarez was the one who invented this delicious martini-like dessert cocktail at the Old King Bar in Miami.

The key to this drink is the Galliano. It adds a hint of vanilla and its lovely golden color is the reason for the name of the cocktail. The best time to consume this drink is after dinner, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it at a different time.

Freshly squeezed orange juice is always the better choice, and if you want a lighter drink, you can use milk instead of heavy cream.

Get a shaker, pour the ingredients, shake and strain into a cocktail glass. You will fall in love with the end result. 😉
